The festival they build for their release is fluttering with songs.
They reach right through you jerking a smile and cheap laugh.
For everyone looks so good from down here.
They are stuck drunken in the trance of notes, brainwashing away their worries.
It helps to forget it all. The bills, the starvation, and the poverty.
They all put it behind them, to share their inexpensive happiness.
The song of their soul plays closing their eyes.
They wake up and remember the reality. They say, “Lets fake it again.”
